My mother-in-law commissioned this duck:-) Turns out she’s pretty crafty herself. This duck is to hang beside some that she cross-stitched several years ago.  My favorite part is the detail in the water.

Booker T. Washington White, or Bukka White, the blues-man from Aberdeen Mississippi. I was stricken while painting him by how much he looks like B.B.King (another man on my portrait to-do list) so I Googled it.  Yep.  Turns out they’re cousins.

This painting was a birthday gift for a cat-lover:-) I love the stamped birdcage “wallpaper” in the background:-)

The much anticipated cupcake painting party for the girl scout troop was last night.  What fun we had! The girls loved it –  and they were some very talented eight-year-olds!  We had a little devotion about trusting Jesus and some cupcakes  in the middle.

I painted this for my sweet sister in law and her hubby! I can’t wait to see it hung over their bed:-) I love the silver metallic leaves.

I have a very talented nephew that has a birthday this week.  Here’s the trumpet I painted for him plus a pic so you can see how cute he is:-) You know you need an instrument painting for some musician in you life:-D

I am getting very excited.  Girl scout troop # 20236  is having a cupcake party! We are going to be decorating cupcakes. . .and painting cupcakes! I painted my example today.  This is going to be fun!
