We made all sorts of things in art this month.
I’ve added a group of sixth graders, so you’ll notice some new faces.
We made Valentines using cardstock, patterned papers, and stamps. We made really cute heart picture frames, too.
After painting them we distressed them with sandpaper and decorated with stamping and writing. We focused on several love passages from the Bible.
After that we brushed up on our color theory and made color wheels. We did lots of experimenting with “real” colored pencils and practiced techniques in our sketchbooks for the weeks ahead!
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. . .” 1 Cor 13:4-8
