I painted this lovely church for my lovely aunt and uncle, “Aunt Shag and Nana” (pronounced Nah-Nah). The history behind this church is pretty awesome. It was the oldest church in Lafayette County (established 1858) when The United Methodist Church decided to consolidate the smaller churches in the area.  Mt.Zion resisted but eventually closed their doors.
