We Made Teacher Gifts in Art Lessons!

My niece, Maggie Jo helped me come up with the idea that we should really make something for our teachers in art. We had something else to finish up so I knew we wouldn’t have much time to make two gifts each.

I found these darling wooden cut outs and they made the perfect craft.  They each have a little raised spot: the daisy’s center and the owl’s tummy.  We pressed patterned paper down with our fingernail to make an impression of the raised area to cut out and glue down.  We then painted them to match the paper and embellished with stripes, polka dots, whatever.  One magnet was just enough on the back to make them stay up.

I made two to take to Joseph’s teachers and they loved them!
